To close the gap of a variety of health disparities across communities in Texas, Texas Health Resources has awarded $23 million in grant funding to community-based organizations since 2019.

For the 2025-2026 grant cycle, a partnership between three local nonprofits — Safe Harbor Counseling Center, Joyful Ranch Counseling and First United Methodist Church — was selected as the lead grantee for the “Hands Up for Mental Health Initiative” supported by a $300,000 community impact grant.

The initiative aims to reduce mental health challenges in Springtown’s 76082 ZIP code by expanding access to counseling and supportive services.
