A new helicopter landing pad at the Parker County Hospital District EMS Station 2 in Springtown is now operational and provides a significant upgrade in how critical patients are transported from the area.

The addition allows emergency crews to coordinate directly with air medical providers from a designated location rather than relying on improvised landing zones.

“The helipad creates a safer environment,” said Director of PCHD-EMS Jim Backus.
