The Springtown City Council recognized local animal control officers with a proclamation observing National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week in the city the week of April 12, highlighting the often unseen work of animal control officers who are tasked with serving both animals and the public.
Animal control officers Maddie Gould and Miranda Miller say the recognition is meaningful.
“It’s pretty nice getting recognized, especially when we do take a week to appreciate the people that like helping out the animals in the city,” Gould said.
