SISD has been named a semifinalist in the 2026 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, placing in the top 25 among 2,000 districts that applied across Texas.
The H-E-B Excellence in Education Award aims to recognize outstanding school professionals and districts. Since its inception in 2002, the program has awarded nearly $15 million to public education services across the state.
In an SISD press release, it was noted the judges were impressed with the district’s application that represented SISD’s performance, innovation and commitment to student success.
