After moving from the Amarillo area to Springtown for her junior year, Alyssa Forbes took a sigh of relief after all the hard work she put into becoming the valedictorian of the Class of 2026.
“I’m just super excited,” Forbes said. “I feel like the pressure is gone. I just feel like it’s a relief to finally be here.”
Though Forbes had always been an A student, moving to a different school and community made her nervous — as if she had to start from scratch.
