The city announced at its April 23 council meeting that its Community Cleanup Day will be combined with the annual Shred Day event scheduled for May 16.
The Community Cleanup Day event was originally planned for April 11 but was canceled due to a forecast of severe weather.
The combined event will allow residents to take part in community cleanup efforts while also bringing personal or sensitive paperwork to be safely shredded.
