The city council selected Carly Haynie, a DFW muralist and designer, for the city’s downtown mural project after a second round of proposals at its April 23 meeting.
Christina Derr, assistant city administrator and city secretary, said two submissions were received after the city reissued a request for proposals last month. The primary round, which drew only four applicants, was rejected after none met the requirements outlined in the RFP.
Haynie’s proposal received the highest score from a city review committee.
