Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller has declared an agricultural disaster for Parker, Palo Pinto and Wise counties following severe storms that damaged crops, fencing, pastures and rural infrastructure across several North Texas communities.
The disaster declaration permits the Texas Department of Agriculture to activate the State of Texas Agricultural Relief Fund to assist affected farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses that were affected by the storms. The STAR Fund provides tax-deductible, donation-driven grants for eligible candidates.
