Volunteers help clear debris at Covered Bridge Venue

Volunteers from Springtown and other neighboring communities throughout North Texas came together Saturday, May 2, to clear debris at the Covered Bridge Venue after severe storms tore through the 150-acre property Saturday, April 25, destroying the event space.

Despite the overwhelming destruction, venue owner Ricky Dauenhauer said he is blessed.

“I am unbelievable blessed,” Dauenhauer said. “I knew it the minute this all happened.”
