Nonprofits and other community-based organizations have until May 29 to submit proposals for community impact grants through Texas Health Resources with up to $5 million available across nine counties for the 2027-2028 grant cycle.

The funding is focused on improving health outcomes by addressing nonmedical drivers of health which are defined as everyday conditions that affect a person’s ability to stay healthy.

“Nonmedical drivers of health are everyday conditions in people’s lives that influence how healthy they are and how long they live,” said Marsha Ingle, senior director of Community Health Improvement at Texas Health.
