Local musicians, businesses and residents came together Sunday, May 17 for a storm benefit concert at Fink’s Backyard aimed at helping families facing long-term recovery needs.
The idea for the benefit concert began when local musician Spencer Johnson reached out to co-owner Krysty Easter about organizing a fundraiser for residents affected by the tornado.
“I was like, ‘You’re thinking the same thing — that sounds great,’” said Easter about how she aligned with Johnson’s proposal. “I told him, ‘You picked the perfect person to call,’ because it was a way that we could help.”
