The city of Reno received a clean, unmodified opinion on its 2024 audit during the Monday, May 18 city council meeting.
“We’ve been doing the city’s audit since fiscal year 2021 and I believe this is the first year where we had no uncorrected misstatements and we had no proposed and reported audit adjustments,” said Meagan Holyfield, audit manager for Forvis Mazars.
Holyfield said the unmodified opinion is like receiving an “A-plus” grade for the city’s financial statement and credited city staff for the progress made during the audit process.
