County officials encourage WCSUD to join proposed PUA

Parker County Precinct 3 Commissioner Larry Walden, along with other Parker County officials including County Judge Pat Deen, attended the Walnut Creek Special Utility District’s Monday, May 18 board meeting and asked board members to consider joining the Parker County Public Utility Agency.

Walden described the formation of the Parker County PUA as a necessary step toward addressing long-term water shortages and infrastructure needs across the county.

He began by explaining how the county’s Hydrology 2050 Committee evolved from an earlier committee created to distribute federal funding provided by the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act.
