Artist brings collaborative vision to library mural

After her proposal was selected by the city of Springtown, mural artist Lauren Fails is spending the summer transforming the Springtown Public Library’s exterior wall into an inspirational homage to reading, imagination and lifelong learning.

Fails’ artistic journey began as a child, carrying sketchbooks and filling in the pages with drawings everywhere she went.

“I wanted to draw everything I was seeing,” she said.
