Meet the artist: Carly Haynie

D-FW-based mural artist Carly Haynie was recently selected by the city of Springtown to create the downtown mural project. While the official design process is still underway, Haynie brings more than a decade of mural experience and a passion for community history to the project.

Growing up in Corsicana, she spent much of her childhood drawing and creating art, doodling while taking notes in school and church.

“I always loved doodling,” she said. “My dad has a background in art and then my mom’s dad had a background in art as well and so I think it kind of just runs in my blood without me even realizing it.”
