Come or Go: Snack Pack program open to all
Children and families can receive free snack packs and dinner meals every Wednesday through Aug. 5 at First United Methodist Church in Springtown as part of the church's summer food assistance program.

Author: Jose 'JJ' Balderas

First United Methodist Church, 109 W. Third St., will continue its Snack Pack program through Aug. 5, offering free take-home snack bags every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The program was able to extend into the summer months through a Texas Health Resources Community Impact Grant partnership between the church, Safe Harbor Counseling and Joyful Ranch Counseling.

Pastor Terre McGill said the extension will help address food insecurity for children who may not have access to meals during summer break.
