Decorated cars rolled down Main Street Saturday, July 4 as residents gathered along the sidewalks to cheer during Springtown’s Star-Spangled Bash celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
The event continued at the Cartwright Pavilion, where Mayor Mike Kelley addressed the crowd and reflected on the nation’s milestone.
“250 years ago, some brilliant patriots put together a document that declared our rights come not from kings or government, but from our creator,” Kelley said. “Our founders understood something that is still true today: Freedom is not a spectator sport.”
