Springtown Independent School District employees gathered for the district’s 2026 convocation Friday, Aug. 7, kicking off another school year for staff and faculty.

The Springtown High School marching band and choir opened the ceremony, bringing high energy to the event. Hilltop Family Church Pastor Brent Coplen followed the band and choir’s performances with a prayer.

“God, I pray — from the classrooms to the hallways, football fields, courts, band hall — to every area that students are involved in our community — your Holy Spirit will be moving around in all of those areas here. Lift up each and every one of these awesome teachers. They’re trying to do their best to pour into the students here. There’s so much that goes on in that,” he said.
