Scout takes on Reno’s 60th anniversary for Eagle project

Scout Madison Naftal is working toward her Eagle Scout rank by leading the organization of the city of Reno’s 60th anniversary celebration set for Nov. 7.

Naftal said she wanted her Eagle Scout project to be different from the traditional Scout projects involving construction or restoration.

“A lot of people build stuff for their projects like my siblings did,” Naftal said. “I didn’t want to be like my siblings, and I wanted to do something totally different.”
