Long before Tina Rebel became a competitive horseperson and breeder of rare chickens at her farm, Rebel’s Flying Feathers, she considered herself a “suburban princess” with a lifelong interest in animals.

“I’ve always had a passion for animals,” she said.

Rebel grew up in the North Dallas suburbs and bred hamsters as a child but said she always wanted to own horses.
