A weekend of hiking and exploring with her mother in May 2017 led Meagan Trainham to discover something she never expected to find in her hometown — dinosaur tracks.
“I was visiting my mom in Springtown,” Trainham said. “One of the things my mom and I have always liked to do together is rockhounding — exploring areas that might have interesting fossils or artifacts like arrowheads.”
The mother-daughter duo came upon the dinosaur tracks while exploring the dry bed along Walnut Creek at Springtown Park.
