First Baptist Church offers GriefShare support

GriefShare at First Baptist Church Springtown, 500 N. Main St., provides adults grieving the death of a loved one a place to learn how to understand and process their loss while connecting with others who are also grieving.

The nondenominational, biblically based program began at the church in fall 2022 after a church member introduced the ministry to JB Perry, minister to senior adults and GriefShare coordinator.

“I’d never heard of it. I started doing some research and I loved what I saw,” Perry said.
