The city of Springtown’s new downtown mural brings a colorful tribute to the community’s history and traditions to the exterior of City Hall.

The project, painted by artist Carly Haynie, was originally planned for the exterior of AV Ranch Western Wear before concerns about the building’s stone wall and later repairs led the city to move the mural to its current location.

Haynie said she initially raised concerns about painting directly on the older stone because modern paint could potentially trap moisture and damage the building over time.
