Cheldan Homes will host its first Young Business Builders market Oct. 24, giving children in the Springtown area an opportunity to turn their ideas into small businesses while building confidence, responsibility and independence.
The idea for the event began when Nicole Hess Griggs, a new home sales representative with Cheldan Homes, watched her 10-year-old daughter develop an interest in entrepreneurship as she developed a jewelry and crafts business.
“My daughter has a really big entrepreneurial spirit, and she’s always wanted to start her own business,” Griggs said. “So, we started a little jewelry, homemade crafts business.”
