The Reno City Council approved a professional services agreement with Springtown assistant city administrator Christina Derr to provide general management consulting services to the city.

The council had been considering contracting with Derr since Sept. 14.

The council voted 4-0 during a special meeting Oct. 5 following an executive session. Place 2 council member Jennifer Vogle was absent. Council members discussed the agreement in open session before voting, focusing on how to make the most effective use of Derr’s billable hours and establish a clear process for communication.
